After lying at Tilbury docks for nearly 2 years, and after the failure of the proposed scheme to move her to France for development as a hotel facility, TS Queen Mary was put up for auction on 24th August.  However, no bid on the day reached the reserved price and negotiations have subsequently been on-going between the current owner and interested parties.  It is now understood that a sale has been agreed with a UK based individual.
